College notes

JENNA ZENDRON (West Sunbury) ran a leg of the winning 4x200 meter relay team for Westminster’s indoor women’s track and field team at Ohio Northern University’s Larry Cole Invitational. The winning time was 1 minute, 55.41 seconds.

ANTHONY KAMENSKI (Karns City), a senior on the Westminster men’s indoor track and field team, took second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.85 seconds at the Larry Cole Invitational.

MICHAEL PHILLIPS (Knoch) won the 50-yard breaststroke for the Westminster men’s swim team in a dual meet at Chatham. His time was 31.23 seconds.

WILL ZIMMERMAN (Seneca Valley) tallied 10 kills and two service aces in Thiel’s 3-0 men’s volleyball win over Bethany. He had 15 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 win over Saint Vincent.

KALEB PROUDFOOT (Butler) had 12 kills and five blocks in Thiel’s 3-2 men’s volleyball win over Saint Vincent.

EMMA PLANK (Slippery Rock) won both backstroke races for the Grove City women’s swimming team in a dual meet victory over Washington & Jefferson. She also swam a leg of the Wolverines’ winning 200 medley relay.

DAVID BOCCI (Butler) won the 200 freestyle for the Clarion men’s swim team in a dual meet win over Edinboro. His time was 1 minute, 43.62 seconds.

ALEX COTTON (Knoch) placed ninth in the shot put for Penn State Behrend’s men’s indoor track and field team at the SPIRE Midwest Open. His distance was 44 feet, 11.75 inches.

RYLEE LONG (Moniteau) placed ninth in the triple jump for Penn State Behrend’s women’s track and field team at the SPIRE Midwest Open. Her distance was 33 feet, 9 inches.

MADILYN BOYER (Knoch) scored 11 points in 22 minutes for the Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team in an 88-73 win over Pitt-Greensburg.

MASON BUSH (Seneca Valley) scored 17 points and sank four treys for the Penn State Altoona men’s basketball team in an 81-71 loss to Hilbert.
