Lee Cratty
Lee Donald Cratty, 86, of Butler, peacefully passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, on his family farm.
Born March 29, 1937, in Butler, he was the son of the late Floyd W. and Olive Ifft Cratty.
Lee was born and raised in Franklin Township, where he was a lifelong farmer. In his younger years, he raised chickens, cows and pigs, moving on in later years to crop farming with his family. Lee will be remembered for growing potatoes. He received an Achievement Award from the Penn State Potato Growers Association.
He was Baptist by faith.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and cherry picking in Erie with his grandsons.
He is survived by two sons, Herb (Bonnie) Cratty of Ellwood City and Donald (Natascha) Cratty of Butler; his grandchildren, Charles (Catherine) Cratty of Joppa, Ala., Chris (Maddie) Cratty, Marc Cratty and Mathew Cratty, all of Butler; his brother, Clair (Margaret) Cratty of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Cratty; and his sister, Dorthy Sedoris.
