Mark Rikal presented a banner to the Navy Mothers Club, Victor Thomas Rikal Senior Post 981 of Butler, in honor of his brother, who went down at sea in June 1969.
Additionally, Mrs. Gerry Noullet took the helm as commander of the club in January, 1970, during a ceremony where herself and other new officers were installed.
The club also received a plaque for its help in securing toys for tots during the previous year. Additionally, club members and guests of the installation ceremony gifted the club with an altar cloth, a Bible, a gavel and an American flag.
