Marilyn Rita Coleman, 80, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Harry Lincoln III and Maryann (Stec) Bender.

Marilyn was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She was a former member of the Butler City Crime Watch. She worked at Butler Children’s Center and did child care out of her home. Marilyn also did a card ministry out of her home as well as having several of her writings published.

Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly Tebay of Butler; her son, William “Rob” Coleman Jr. of Butler; three grandchildren, Tyler (Megan) Tebay, Evie (Tim) Delisio and Hunter (Alyssa) Tebay; four great-grandchildren, Kinsley Tebay, Hudson Tebay, Harlee Tebay and Ellie Delisio; four sisters, Marie Rudert, Terese Bender, Denise Klavon and Donna Spoon; three brothers, Ray Bender, Bud Bender and Pete Bender; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bob” Robert Coleman Sr., whom she married June 18, 1966, and who passed away on Sept. 9, 2012; her nephew, Bud Bender; and her sister, Gerianne Patton.

COLEMAN — Friends of Marilyn Rita Coleman, who died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, with Deacon Mitchell Natali officiating.

Interment will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park, Butler.
