Butler County McDonald’s spicing up Steelers fandom
A local business owner is doing her part to support the Pittsburgh Steelers championship pursuits with a tangy twist.
McDonald’s franchise owner/operator Meghan Sweeney is halting sales of buffalo dipping sauce for McNuggets until after the Steelers Wild Card playoff game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
“I’m shutting down the buffalo sauce this week just like the Black and Gold are going to stop the Bills on Sunday,” Sweeney explained.
Sweeney’s firm, Tri County Management is a three-generation family business and McDonald’s franchise organization for more than 55 years.
Based in Cranberry Township, the company owns and operates 22 local McDonald’s restaurants in Allegheny, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence counties. Each location employs more than 50 people.
