Joseph J. “Jim” Fotta, 73, of Valencia, passed away on Friday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 5, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph John and Selma Fuhr Fotta.

Jim had been an oil field worker in Texas.

He enjoyed working on his classic cars.

Surviving are his wife, LaRue A. Love Fotta, whom he married on May 19, 1996; a son, Cody J. Fotta of Pittsburgh; his stepdaughters, Jodi Meyers (Glenn) and Chrissi Faulkner (Jason), both of Butler; his stepsons, Joseph Rinehart (Tara) and Michael Rinehart (Jen), both of Butler; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; his stepmother, Betty Boyle Fotta of Valencia; his sister, Doreen Powell (Wayne) of Tampa, Fla.; and two brothers, Mark Fotta (Patti) and Stephen Fotta, both of Valencia.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Shan.

FOTTA — Arrangements for Joseph J. “Jim” Fotta, who died Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, are private under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
