Butler man accused of indecent exposure in 2 counties

A Butler man accused of exposing himself to a Dollar General employee in Summit Township earlier this year was apprehended for a similar crime in Allegheny County days later, according to state police.

On Friday, Timothy J. Davanzati, 20, was charged with a misdemeanor related to allegations from July at the Dollar General on Freeport Road.

According to documents, Davanzati pulled down his shorts and exposed himself to an employee at the checkout counter July 2. He was identified as wearing a blue hat, a camouflage-pattern long-sleeve shirt and gray shorts.

On July 4, Harrison Township police in Allegheny County arrested Davanzati for exposing himself to a Walmart employee, documents showed. Davanzati was seen on surveillance footage wearing the same outfit described in the July 2 incident.

The Dollar General employee was able to identify Davanzati in a photographic line up, police said.

Davanzati’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
