Delberta Grossman
Delberta M. “Roxy” Grossman, 72, of Petrolia, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
Born on Feb. 5, 1951, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence S. Roxberry and late Thelma R. (Confer) Roxberry.
She retired from the underground mines in Boyers after 42 years in the Retirement Operations Center. She was an original member of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance Crew and was a volunteer EMT there for many years. She also was an avid volunteer for the Red Cross.
Roxy is survived by her son, Christopher Grossman (Jessica Haas) of Petrolia; two grandsons, Marcus Fry of Petrolia and Alex Fry of Chicora; three brothers, Charles K. (Deborah) Roxberry of Hilliards, Alan D. Roxberry of Parker and Jeffrey (Wendy) Roxberry of Petrolia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
GROSSMAN — Family and friends of Delberta M. “Roxy” Grossman, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis Molnar officiating.
Burial will be private.
