Jacob

Robert E. “Jake” Jacob, 85, of Zelienople, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born June 10, 1938, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Robert C. Jacob and Jean E. (Cleer) Jacob.

Jake was a machinist by trade and enjoyed his job. He served as a volunteer firefighter for Zelienople. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and cornhole and bowling. Jake also enjoyed traveling and snowbirding in Deltona, Fla., with his wife, Alice. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Jake leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 66 years, Alice L. (Ketterer) Jacob, whom he married on Nov. 16, 1957; his children, Susan (Russell) Kosis and Robert K. (Kimberly A.) Jacob; his grandchildren, Renee (Stan) Giles, Melissa Jacob, Allison (Andrew) James, Lawrence (Alyssa) Kosis and Anthony Kosis; and his great-grandchildren, Carter, Maddex, Braxton and Emery.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their tender love and care of Jake.

JACOB — Friends of Robert E. “Jake” Jacob, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Saturday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

He will be laid to rest privately at English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople.
