Moniteau thumps Beavers
Kendall Sankey posted 17 points and seven rebounds as Moniteau cruised to a 56-27 girls basketball victory over visiting DuBois Area on Monday.
The Warriors (6-1) set the tone with a 16-4 edge in the opening quarter.
Catherine Kelly added 15 points and five rebounds, Allie Pry had 11 points and Cheyenne Curl nine boards, four assists and five steals.

Mars diver Mya Lee qualified for February’s WPIAL championship meet, but the Planet girls dropped a 92-80 decision to Gateway.
In the boys meet, Mars fell to Gateway, 75-50. Preston Heynes earned a WPIAL cut in the 200 individual medley and Sean Muchnok did so in the breaststroke.
