Boice

John J. “Jack” Boice, 94, of Penn Township, Renfrew, passed away on Wednesday morning, Nov. 29, 2023, at Quality Life Services in Sarver.

Born in Valencia, on Oct. 1, 1929, he was the son of the late E.H. and Minnie B. Owen Boice.

Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator for Brown-Vaughn Development in Pittsburgh.

He served four years in Germany in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Mars VFW Post 7505.

A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars, he was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, M. Jean Lund Boice, whom he married on Jan. 11, 1954; and a son, Jeffrey S. Boice (Cindy), of Mars; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Gary J. Boice and Dennis J. Boice; three sisters; and four brothers.

BOICE — Arrangements for John J. “Jack” Boice, who died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, are private under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
