SRU soccer star named all-region
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University men’s soccer star midfielder Aitor Jorde has been named All-Atlantic Region.
Jorde became the program’s first student-athlete since Patrick Sullivan in 2016 to land all-region honors. He was named to the second team.
A sophmore from Bilbao, Spain, Jorde led The Rock with 22 points, scoring 10 goals and adding two assists.
SV graduate Rea makes all-region
SLIPPERY ROCK — Seneca Valley graduate and Slippery Rock University women’s soccer midfield standout Ashley Rea has been named to the All-Atlantic Region team.
Rea received second-team honors, scoring eight goals and five assists for a career-best 21 points. She had the program’s first hat trick since 2019.
Behrend senior Zec gets soccer honors
ERIE — Seneca Valley graduate and :Penn State Behrend senior midfielder Mia Zec ha been named to the Division III All-Region VII Soccer team.
A captain for Behrend, Zec scored five goals and had two assists this season for 12 points. She has a game-winning goal and converted a penalty kick.
