Jane Palmer
Jane Marie Palmer, 95, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at Lowrie Place.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1927, in Butler, to the late Roy C. Bauer and Charolette M. Kelly.
Jane was a member of St. John's Reformed Church and was previously a member of the former Bethany United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Space Bowling League for many years and was a former member of the 60 Plus Bowling League. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, traveling on Campbell Bus Tours, playing computer games, and spending quality time with her family.
Jane is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Deborah) Palmer and Jay (Kim) Palmer; one daughter, Carol (Jeffrey) King; six grandchildren, Daniel (Lynette) Palmer, Nichole Palmer-Cossu, Brian (Lydia) King, Lorie Beth King, Jason Palmer and Jacob Palmer; and two great-grandchildren, Logan King and Carmen King. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, who passed away on Oct. 24, 2023, Harry C. Palmer Jr.; her sister, Eleanore Libell; as well as her brother, Roy C. Bauer.
PALMER — Friends of Jane Marie Palmer, who died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A funeral service will be held directly after the visitation, with Pastors Jarrod Crawford and Andrew Pepe officiating.
A private interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made out to the veteran's organization of one's choice.
