Cranberry issues violations for curbside pickup
Vogel Disposal Service, the Cranberry Township’s contracted sanitation company, will be issuing violation cards to residents, the township announced.
The cards are either yellow, green, or pink depending on the violation. After a one-time warning, those receiving a violation must contact Vogel and arrange payment for pickup.
All violations are cleared annually.
To avoid violations, residents are asked to make sure the lids are fully closed while the carts are curbside. They are also reminded that the arrows on the lid should be facing the street and that all garbage should be bagged before being placed in the cart.
Residents are also asked to place carts two feet apart from one another and at least 2 feet away from obstructions, such as mailboxes, posts, trees and vehicles. They are also asked to avoid overloading their carts, as a heavy cartload can cause mechanical failure during collection.
