SV grad Davinsizer shines in GCC win

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Seneca Valley graduate Jaden Davinsizer scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots in Grove City College’s recent 68-53 women’s basketball win at Franciscan.

Grove City improved to 3-2 overall, 2-1 in Presidents’ Athletic Conference play.

Schmidt, Lewis named Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Seneca Valley graduate Connor Schmidt and Slippery Rock graduate Amanda Lewis, members of Westminster College’s men’s and women’s soccer teams, respectively, have been named Academic All-District.

Schmidt, a forward, carries a 3.87 grade point average as a finance, accounting and business administration triple major. He scored five goals and had five assists this season.

Lewis, also a forward, carries a 3.70 GPA as a marketing and professional studies and accounting double major. She had five goals and an assist this year and was on the PAC All-Tournament Team.

Brown scores win in harness racing

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove Itz Missauckland N to victory during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

The 7-year-old mare captured a $7,000 Conditioned Pace.

Union grad Logue shines for Clarion

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio — Union graduate Dominika Logue came off the bench to score 10 points for Clarion in the Golden Eagles’ 93-56 women’s basketball loss at Ursuline on Wednesday.
