Heinl

Joseph E. Heinl, 90, of Wexford, Pine Township, passed away on Friday morning, Nov. 10, 2023, at AHN Wexford Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 21, 1933, he was the son of Joseph and Leona Harms Heinl.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a life member of Mars VFW Post 7505.

Joe was an auto body technician for Billco Volkswagen in Wexford where he worked for 47 years.

He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are three sons, Paul Heinl and his wife, Barbara of Marshall Township, John Heinl of West View and Joe Heinl and his wife, Connie, of Prospect; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward “Slew” Heinl of McCandless Township.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret M. Haefner Heinl, whom he married on May 19, 1962, and who died on Nov. 1, 2012.

HEINL — Friends of Joseph E. Heinl, who died Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Lawther, officiating.

Entombment with Military Honors will be in the Mausoleum at Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
