In loving memory of Loretta Slater who passed away three years ago, November 12, 2020.

We can cry tears of sadness because she is gone.

Or we can smile because she lived and the times we shared.

We can remain sad and heart-broken and wish she would come back to us.

Or we can rejoice in her new life with Jesus in heaven – happy and healthy

Our hearts can be empty because she is not with us

Or we can remember the memories and love we shared

We can remain living in yesterday and refuse to move on

Or we can look forward to tomorrow because of the love she gave

We can remember that she is gone.

Or we can cherish her memory and let her live on in our hearts

We can cry and remain broken-hearted and empty.

Or we can do what she would tell us to do

Dry our tears, treasure the memories, open our hearts, love…and go on.

We know she is waiting for us to join her in Heaven

And we will all be together again some day.
