Hockenberry

Virginia A. (Bonetti) Hockenberry, 92, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at her home.

Virginia was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Boyers; she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Carmela (Minnie) Bonetti.

Virginia was married to Carl E. Hockenberry Jr.; he preceded her in death.

Virginia worked at the former Bonetti Nursing Home in Harrisville as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and going camping. Virginia was an excellent cook and looked forward to having her family over for a meal.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Connie J. Surrena of Harrisville; her brother, James V. Bonetti and his wife, Margaret; her sister, Carmela Critchlow; her grandchildren, Bobby J. Beggs Jr. of Harrisville, Michele Morris of Edinboro, Mike Morris of Butler, Kelly Hockenberry Wolfe of Mercer and Carrie Hockenberry of Mercer; great-grandchildren, Eric Beggs, Carleigh Milcic, Azaria Wolf, Brynah Peary, Payton Hockenberry and Jaycee Boyer; and great-great-grandchild, Charyle Beggs.

Virginia was welcomed into heaven by her parents; her husband; her son, Carl E. Hockenberry III; her daughter, Carol E. Hockenberry Morris; and her brothers, Frank, Anthony, Guy, Furrie, Eugene, Joseph, Albert and Andy Bonetti.

HOCKENBERRY — The family of Virginia A. Hockenberry, who died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, will welcome friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at JAMISON MCKINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A funeral Mass will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum.
