Robert Richard “Bob” Ford, 61, of Mars, passed away on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2023, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township, with his family at his side.

Born in Pittsburgh, on March 9, 1962, he was the son of Richard Ford and the late Theresa M. “Terry” Iriti Ford.

A 1980 graduate of Mars High School, Bob was a salesman for Vantage Point Preneed and was a casket distributor and owner of R. Ford Casket LLC. He worked with many funeral directors in several states.

He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish and a social member of Mars Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7505. He had been involved with the Mars Baseball Association, was active with Mars Boy Scout Troop 413 and volunteered at the Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum in Gibsonia.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Fenoglietto Ford, whom he married on Dec. 3, 1988; his sons, Robert Ford (Olivia) and Jake Ford; his father, Richard Ford; a sister, Janice Marie Ford Abernethy (Samuel); four brothers, Richard Walter Ford (Cathy), Raymond Richard Ford (Maureen), Russell Richard Ford (Sharon) and Scott Richard Ford (Cori). Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Susan Fenoglietto and Bonita Pitkavich (Jim); and his brother-in-law, Rick Fenolietto (Celia); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

FORD — Friends of Robert Richard “Bob” Ford, who died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with Father Charles Bober officiating. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.
