John DeFoggi
John Koch “Cookie” DeFoggi, 79, of Butler, passed away, Tuesday morning, Oct. 31, 2023, at Concordia in Cabot.
He was born Feb. 17, 1944, in Butler, a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Koch) DeFoggi.
Cookie graduated from Butler High School, Class of 1962, and then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked at Magnetics in East Butler for 40 years, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. He loved taking care of his yard during the spring, summer and fall months. He also enjoyed all sports.
He was the husband of Dorothy (Druga) DeFoggi for 55 years, whom he married June 1, 1968.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters-in-law, Donna Druga and Lorie (Rodger) Stewart. Also nieces, nephews, and special great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James (Lynne Ann) DeFoggi; his sister-in-law, Diana (Tom) Robison; and a nephew, Zachary Robison.
DEFOGGI — Private services will be held for the family of John Koch “Cookie” DeFoggi, who died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.
