Frances Bracco
Frances Bracco, 104, of Cheswick, formerly of Creighton, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, in Harmar Village.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1919, in Adamsburg, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Meinart) Yelochan.
She was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in New Kensington, the Forward America Ladies Lodge No. 127 in Arnold and the SNPJ Slovenian Lodge, Harmar. She enjoyed cooking, apricot and apple squares, baking, sewing, and taking care of her home, and she especially enjoyed her family and listening to Slovenian Polka music.
Surviving her are three sons, Kenneth (Loni) Bracco of Atlanta, David (Linda) Bracco of Saxonburg and Larry (Jana) Bracco of Gibsonia; eight grandchildren, Scott Bracco, Mishawn Meszar, Ryan Bracco, Kristen Ablauf, Jennifer Barkley, Amy Blakley, Justin Bracco and Lindsey Spagnolo; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Robert Borland.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Victor A. Bracco, on Oct. 21, 1998. Also preceding her were brothers, Joseph and Albert Yelochan; and sisters, Mary Bracco, Julia Matus and Emma Borland.
For five years, Frances was home away from home in Amber Woods and The Elms, and she received wonderful care from the nurses, aides, activity specialists, housekeeping, facility and maintenance staff, and other hospice care workers, which was an inspiration to all of us, and we are eternally grateful.
