Butler County's great daily newspaper

DA candidate’s tactics dishonest

Jennifer G. Vanasdale has run for multiple offices in Butler County to no avail. She is now running yet again, this time for district attorney. Her tactics are disgusting to say the least and personally are a huge reason as to why I have never and will never vote for her.

I have followed the seven issues posted in this paper, along with her commercials and advertisements. Jen G.V. portrays situations with half-truths and out-of-context statements.

Jen’s main topic of discussion has been sweetheart deals as she promises not to make them. What she does not make known is that there are numerous factors that go into plea deals and sentences. There are sentence guidelines, it is based on evidence and factors, and ultimately the sentencing is up to the judge and what they see fit regardless of the recommendations from the district attorney’s office.

Jen G.V. has also claimed that if elected she will work day and night for justice for cold cases; she also states we need a cold case unit. What she fails to tell you is that a cold case unit within the state police diligently works to seek justice every day.

Behind every alleged issue, every statement, every promise, she is withholding information to manipulate people into voting for her. Do not fall for her manipulation — do your research. Vote for Rich Goldinger.

Butler
