Liberato

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt and stepmother, Diane Crispen Liberato.

Diane was born in McKees Rocks, on Dec. 8, 1955, and passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, leaving behind memories that will be forever cherished by her family and friends and all who knew her.

Diane graduated from Sto-Rox High School in 1973. She worked at the Forest Inn restaurant, where she met her husband Vince Liberato, who preceded her in death. She later started her career at Merakey Allegheny Valley School, from which she retired in 2022.

When she was young, Diane loved vacations to East Brady every summer to visit her grandmother, cousins, aunts and uncles. She loved and took care of three dogs and one cockatiel over the years. Diane enjoyed bingo at St. Francis de Sales Church and going to the casinos to play video poker. She also enjoyed family picnics and holiday parties. You can be sure she always had a glass of Pepsi nearby.

Diane now joins her beloved husband, Vince, in eternal rest. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Russell and Sarah Hazel Crispen; her brother, Vincent Crispen; her sister, Elaine Crispen; her nephew, Roger Fath; and four brothers-in-law, Gerald Heindl, John Fath, Wes Krull and Thomas Hile.

Diane will be remembered with love by her sisters, Sally Fath and Donna Heindl; her brother, Russell Howard Crispen (Beulah); her stepdaughter, Kristin Liberato Gallagher (James) and their three children; and many nieces and nephews.

LIBERATO — Per her wishes, the family will hold a private tribute to Diane Crispen Liberato, who died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, for a life well lived.
