Margaret Louise Kusner Karenbauer, 91, of Butler, passed away Sat., Oct. 14, 2023, at Newhaven Court at Clearview.

Born in Butler on Feb. 13, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Ignatius and Helen Kusnier.

Margaret was a homemaker.

She was a 1950 graduate of Karns City High School.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. She was a very devout Catholic and attended daily Mass.

Margaret sang in the St. Mary Choir, belonged to the Christian Mothers of St. Mary, and volunteered at the St. Mary fish fry. She was also active in the Knoch Football Boosters.

She enjoyed listening to classic country music, and she was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Pascazi of Herman; five sons, Kevin Karenbauer and his wife, Pamela, of Butler, Jeffrey Karenbauer and his wife, Cathy, of Butler, Robert Karenbauer of Butler, Terry Karenbauer of Butler and Tom Karenbauer and his wife, Jackie, of Butler; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren. She was also the last surviving of her siblings.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Martin Karenbauer, whom she married June 22, 1957, and who passed away Oct. 10, 2016.

The Karenbauer family extends special thanks and gratitude to the staff of Newhaven Court at Clearview for their outstanding, compassionate care.

KARENBAUER — Friends of Margaret Louise Kusner Karenbauer, who died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler, with the Rev. Ward Stakem, OFM, Cap., officiating.

Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
