William Kamerer Jr.

William “Butch” Kamerer Jr., 69, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023.

He was born in Butler on March 10, 1954, to the late William Sr. and Helen (Vasbinder) Kamerer.

William worked at Baglier for over 40 years. He was known as a great husband, father and grandfather and for being hardworking, selfless, caring, giving and ready to help anyone in need. William loved working on cars. He was the crew chief of Baglier Racing, and he also coached basketball and soccer for his children and grandchildren.

Butch was the beloved husband of Janet (Evans) Kamerer since their marriage in 1972; father of Bill (Jessica) Kamerer III, John Kamerer and Jacob Pizer; brother of Rich Kamerer, Jackie Rhodes and Patti Pulver; grandfather of Abigail, Kaleb, Ava, Maiya and Payton; and great-grandfather of Bentley and Holden. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Timmy and Basil.

William was preceded in death by his sisters, Robin Leitch and Cheryl Browning.

KAMERER — Services for William “Butch” Kamerer Jr., who died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
