Aliya Jade Harvey, 17, of Jackson Center, died tragically due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident with her best friend, Harmony Leige, on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023. Aliya was born in Butler on July 18, 2006.

Aliya was a senior at Lakeview High School and also attended Mercer County Career Center. She was a member of National Society of High School Scholars, National Technical Honor Society and the speech and debate team. She participated in mock trial, LEO Club, Model U.N., Skills USA and other activities. Aliya loved music, poetry and baking, and she brought so much life and happiness into every single day. She is loved and will be missed by many.

Aliya is survived by her “Bea,” Becky Quinn, at home; her father, Robert (Kylie) Harvey Jr.; her mother, Tiffany Mullen; and her siblings, Kaitlyn, Xavier, Isaiah and Azarah. She also is survived by her great-Gramma, Nancy Sopher; her Nanna, Tina Rivera; grandmother, Carroll (Darrell) Harvey; and grandfather, Robert T. Harvey Sr.

Aliya was preceded in death by her grandfather, Peter Mullen.

HARVEY — Visitation for Aliya Jade Harvey, who died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.

Private family funeral services will be at the funeral home with the Rev. Evelyn Beebe officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Irwin Cemetery.
