Daniel Laidlaw
Daniel K. Laidlaw, 50, of Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, after a lingering illness.
Born June 25, 1973, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Keith and Bettyan (Pepper) Laidlaw.
Dan was a 1991 graduate of Butler High School and attended Penn State University.
He was a member of Butler Elks Lodge 170 of Butler and was also a Freemason. Dan was a longtime owner of an Allstate Insurance agency in Butler that was consistently one of the top producers in the state.
He enjoyed watching his daughter play sports, especially soccer. In the summer, he loved taking people out on his boat on the Allegheny River at his family’s river house, followed by playing the house DJ. He took much pleasure in watching Penn State games with his father and later going to the Elks to enjoy a drink to discuss the game. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
