Ralph Gorog
Ralph D. Gorog, 92, of Zelienople, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023.
Born May 23, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Pauline (Holeczy) Gorog.
Ralph proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart for his honorable service. He enjoyed the great outdoors, filling his free time with hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed small-engine repair. Ralph was a caring, kind person, who enjoyed giving hugs and sharing Kit Kat bars.
His faith and service to the church were very important to him. Ralph believed Jesus died for his sins and accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior. His greatest gift was guiding his family to develop a relationship with God and honor Him above all else.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 64 years, Annette D. (Metcalfe) Gorog, whom he married on June 13, 1959; his children, Brian (Rhonda) Gorog of Silver City, N.M., Peter (Lorraine) Gorog of Harmony, Betsy (Mark) Graybeal of Middletown, Del., Jonathan (Michelle) Gorog of Zelienople, Christopher Gorog of Pueblo, Colo., and Benjamin (Nicole) Gorog of Butler; his siblings, Robert (Shirley) Gorog of Freeport, Pa., Paul (Melinda) Gorog of York, Pa., Mary (John) Macomber of Mechanicsville, Va., and Ruth Callaway Interlachen of Florida; his grandchildren, Carolyn (Jose), Diane (JB), Kristina (Rob), Matthew, Anthony, Sarah (Patrick), Amber, Lilleann, Maximus, Nicholas, Daniel, Megan, Nathaniel, Hayleigh and Eliana; and his great-grandchildren, Emily and Jemma.
