Donald H. Beggs, 66, of Butler, passed away, Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

He was born Nov. 3, 1956, in Butler, and was a son of the late Evelyn (Schiebel) Beggs.

Donnie was self-employed as owner/operator of the Amoco Gas Station and Repair Shop on Route 356, just outside of Butler, until 1990. He then went to work for Penn United Technologies in their Heat Treating Department.

He was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church, where he was an active volunteer maintaining the church and school grounds. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved to ride his motorcycle.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Sue Ann Toy, and her husband, Brian Toy; his beloved granddaughter, Ashley Toy; his brother, James Beggs; his niece, Nicole (Tim) Gustin; his nephew, Jim Beggs; and his special friends, Ron and Cindy Lemmon.

In addition to his mother, who passed away in July 2019, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet L. Beggs, whom he married Sept. 15, 1990, and who passed away July 10, 2018; also his dear uncle, Regis Schiebel, who passed away in December 2020.

BEGGS — Friends of Donald H. Beggs, who died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, will be received from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.

Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Road, Butler, PA 16002.
