Darlene Martin Miller, 56, of Slippery Rock, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lingering illness with cancer.

She was born in Butler, Aug. 25, 1967, the daughter of the late Clarence Robert Knoll and Glenna Martin Knoll.

She graduated from Karns City High School, and Butler County Community College with an associate’s degree in administration.

Darlene worked as an office administrator at Slippery Rock Campgrounds. She enjoyed scrapbooking, puzzles and board games. She had a “soft spot for dogs” and her favorite was Myrah.

She is survived by her daughter, Cecelia Miller at home; son, Jesse Miller at home; mother, Glenna Martin Williams; brothers, the Rev. Robert Martin and wife, Margaret, and James G. Martin and wife, Michel; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, C. R. “Bob” Martin; and stepfather, John R. Williams.

MILLER — Friends of Darlene Martin Miller, who died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and will be officiated by her brother, the Rev. Robert Martin.
