BC3 volleyball grabs 4th victory

NEW KENSINGTON — Zoe Morley had eight kills and Rosie Carden 21 assists as the Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team defeated Penn State New Kensington, 3-0, Wednesday night.

Match scores were 25-22, 25-15, 25-16.

Aryana Girvan tallied seven kills and 26 digs, Nina Szymanski 24 digs for the Pioneers (4-1), who host Penn State Shenango at 6 p.m. Friday.

Butler grad Semmler among top runners

GREENVILLE — Thiel College freshman and Butler graduate Madalyn Semmler is among the Presidents’ Athletic Conference women’s cross country Runners to Watch list for 2023.

Semmler and senior teammate Hannah Jones are on that list. The Tomcats open the 2023 season Friday at the Westminster Fisher Invitational.br
