New show at Butler Art Center features auction items
The Patron Show at the Butler Art Center opened Thursday, Aug. 31, and will feature art that will be available for auction at an event Sept. 22.
Shirley McCauley, board secretary for the Associated Artists of Butler County, said the center received around 70 pieces of art for the upcoming auction, in which everyone will get to choose a piece when their ticket number is called.
All of that art is on display for public viewing until the event, so people can look at the options prior to going to the auction. Art center administrators are calling it the Patron Show, because the pieces will eventually be purchased by patrons of the arts.
