Robert N. Bauman, 78, of Saxonburg, laid down his working tools on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with leukemia.

Born Oct. 11, 1944, in Saxonburg, he was the son of Kenneth E. Bauman and Genevieve Flick Bauman.

Bob was owner of Kenneth E. Bauman Bus Company and former owner of Continental Boarding and Imports.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sarver, William H. Miller Lodge 769 F&AM and Syria Shrine. He enjoyed training and selling German Shepherds for the last 30 years.

Surviving are his children, Jennifer Anne (Jamie) Devore, of Saxonburg, Amy Suzanne Bauman, of Saxonburg, Robert Kenneth (Bobbi Jo) Bauman, of Orange Park, Fla., Christopher Alan Bauman, of Saxonburg, and Jeanne (Rob) Voltz, of Butler; his grandchildren, Madelyn Genevieve Bauman, Meredith Jane (Zachary) Bauman Coon, Nathan Robert Bauman, Evan Christopher Bauman, Abigail Elise Bauman, Veronica Rose Bauman, Casey Christina (Ryan) Thomas, Hunter Christian (Hailey) Neyman, Aaron Voltz and Cory Voltz; two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Jameson; his brother, Carl L. (Dorinda) Bauman, of Georgia; and a sister, Jane Hildreth, of Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pamela G. Bauman; one son, Theodore John Werner; and one granddaughter, Beatrice Elizabeth Bauman.

BAUMAN — Friends of Robert N. Bauman, who died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, will be received from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Interment will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery.
