Janice Radus
Janice Marie Radus, 74, of Freedom, entered into eternity on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.
Born Sept. 29, 1948, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Mary Palladino Ferraro.
Jan loved seeing her family and friends content and was always looking to their needs. Her servant heart and zeal for hospitality was exemplified in the joy she got from the planning, preparation and hosting of any event for those she loved. Her prowess in the kitchen was admired whether preparing the simplest or most extravagant meals or baked goods and was appreciated by all. Her hot pepper dip was legendary. Whether planning a party, decorating a room, designing a landscape, gardening, launching a startup business, running a deli restaurant or taking care of children by driving a school bus for 20 years, she was always expanding her comfort zone.
One of Jan's latest endeavors came by way of the river, kayaking with friends. Her great joy was the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren, but she always wished for more. Above all things, Jan cherished the life she and her husband Brian lived over these past 42 years. They made the absolute best out of every day they were given.
Jan's legacy is carried on by her husband; her many dear friends; and her children, Marcie (Kenny) Bodzenski and Jodi (Mike) Fulmer; her grandchildren, Molly, Adam, Maddy and Katie; her sister, Lorraine Mason; and her brothers, Richard Ferraro and Thomas Ferraro.
