Armstrong collecting food for hunger action month
September is National Hunger Action Month and Armstrong has planned its sixth annual Avenge Hunger Month campaign to fight hunger across its service territory.
Local Armstrong stores will collect non-perishable food and monetary donations for local feeding programs. The resources collected will help to supply over 200 community programs throughout the Armstrong footprint in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, West Virginia, Maryland and Kentucky, according to a news release.
Armstrong’s Butler system has partnered in the past with Butler County, Butler cheerleaders, local elementary schools and other local businesses to collect donations. Armstrong employees also volunteer at Katie’s Kitchen and the Butler County Food Bank.
