Sprint Spectacular set at Lernerville
BUFFALO TWP — There will be three divisions of Sprint cars on the track during Saturday night’s Sprint Car Spectacular at Lernerville Speedway.
The DIRT Sprint Car Series, Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 cars and the RUSH Sprint Car Series will all be in action.
Brandon Spithaler, who won a feature race this season at Lernerville, leads the DIRT Sprint Car points race. The DIRT Sprints will be racing for the $5,000 first-place prize.
Many Sprint car regulars at Lernerville — including champion AJ Flick, Darin Gallagher, Dan Kuriger, Brndon Matus and Carl Bowser — are expected to be in the DIRT Sprint car field as well.
Jim Morris leads Jacob Gomola by seven points in the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 series. The RUSH Sprint cars will be making their third appearance of the season at Lernerville, with John Mollick and Blaze Myers winning the first two races.
Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with hot laps slated for 6:30 p.m., racing at 7:30 p.m.
