Sentence court

The following defendants were sentenced on Thursday in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Timothy McCune.

Nancy Ann Hinchberger, 56, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 18 to 48 months in state prison and pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver filed by Butler City police following a May 25, 2022, incident.

Zaire Shihe Agrate, 21, of Cranberry Township, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation, complete 50 hours of community service and pay a $100 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver filed by Jackson Township police following an Oct. 19, 2022, incident.

Joseph R. Birsa, 45, of Cranberry Township, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation, complete 50 hours of community service, undergo a mental health evaluation and continue drug and alcohol treatment after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault filed by Cranberry Township police following a Dec. 11, 2022, incident.

Rachel C. Braham, 43, of Mercer, was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading no contest to a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance filed by state police following a Nov. 24, 2021, incident in Prospect.

Michael D. Capalongo, 50, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay $177 in restitution after pleading guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking filed by state police following an Aug. 11, 2021, incident in Clearfield Township.

Allen Richard Claypoole, 29, of Hilliards, was sentenced to serve up to 12 months in prison, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and complete 25 hours of community service and anger management treatment after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault filed by state police following a June 1, 2021, incident in Washington Township.

Alan B. Israel, 46, of White Oak, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve 18 months of probation, complete 40 hours of community service and continue mental health treatment after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault filed by Butler Township police following a May 11, 2022, incident.

Timothy James Lavery, 20, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation and pay $200 in fines after pleading guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct filed by state police following a Sept. 12, 2022, incident in Center Township.

Alexander Jacob Rodriguez, 22, of Cranberry Township, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, after pleading guilty to charges of theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and evading arrest filed by Cranberry Township police following a Sept. 17, 2022, incident.

Brandon Lee Russell, 30, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 45 days of house arrest, pay a $750 fine, complete 25 hours of community service and litter pickup and pay $6,997 in restitution after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense and a charge of accidents involving damage filed by Butler City police following a Sept. 16, 2022, incident.

Charles Laverne Bassett, 61, of Butler, was fined $300 and ordered to pay $1 in restitution to Ace Hardware after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Butler Township police following a Feb. 17, 2023, incident.

Frank Theodore Burka IV, 35, of Cranberry Township, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation, pay a $100 fine and continue mental health treatment after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault filed by Cranberry Township police following a Nov. 20, 2022, incident.

Cameron Dale Stover, 31, of Pittsburgh, was fined $100 after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia filed by Butler City police following a Sept. 14, 2019, incident.

Joseph Robert Rinaman, 38, of Beaver Falls, was sentenced to serve up to 23 months and 15 days in prison followed by 12 months of probation and pay $40,000 in restitution after pleading no contest to charges of trespassing and receiving stolen property filed by Cranberry Township police following an Aug. 26, 2020, incident.
