Maynard

Flora L. Maynard, 95, of Pine Township, Gibsonia, passed away on Saturday evening, Aug. 19, 2023, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Born in Smock, Pa., on May 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Sarah Maude Stewart Cook.

Flora had been the secretary for her family's construction business.

Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Scatena (David), of Cheswick and Lucinda Maynard, of Gibsonia; four sons, Ronald Maynard (Jane) of West Virginia, Bruce Maynard (Jerrie) of Wexford, Jeff Maynard (Sherri) of Utah and Artie Maynard (Amy) of Valencia; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Art” Maynard, whom she married on June 12, 1949, and who died on June 19, 2019; a son, Randy Maynard; and her four3 sisters, Anna Grace, Marietta, Jean and Esther.

MAYNARD — There will be no visitation for Flora L. Maynard, who died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023. Services are private. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
