Cranberry begins Slow Down Campaign Aug. 22

Cranberry Township will begin the No Need for Speed: Slow Down Campaign on Tuesday, Aug. 22, in an effort to curb reckless driving as students go back to school.

The campaign is inspired by the national “Keep Kids Alive Drive 25” program and will see an increased police presence in the township.

Radar speed signs will be move between neighborhoods during the campaign, gathering data to be used to make changes to the program.

The fall campaign will run through Sept. 5, coinciding with the beginning of the school year.

For more information on sign placement, the program itself and to register to participate, visit cranberrytownship.org/slowdown.
