Judith Lyons, 82, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

She was born in Pittsburgh on July 2, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Carl and Jane (Gronkowski) Smith.

Judy attended and graduated from North Hills High School. After her schooling, while raising a family, Judy went on to work for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as a distributor and then with the Youth Development Center in New Castle. She was a beloved mother and was very patriotic. She was a born-again Christian and this was of highest importance to her. She was loved and will be forever missed.

She was the mother of Robert, J.C. and Linda Lyons; and sister of Kenneth Smith and Sondra Rackley.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald and Richard.

LYONS — Services and burial at North Cemetery for Judith Lyons, who died Saturday, July 29, 2023, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
