Charles Bonner
Charles W. Bonner, 89, of Butler, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Cherokee County, Troupe, Texas, a son of the late Willard M. Bonner and Annie (Kelly) Bonner.
Charles had worked at Pullman Standard until the plant closed and then had been a bartender, a DJ and had delivered newspaper bundles to the local carriers.
He was the husband of Anita J. Bonner, whom he married in 1970, and remarried in 2010, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She passed away Sept. 25, 2020.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy. He had enjoyed restoring and rebuilding Wheel Horse tractors.
Surviving are his daughter, Charlotte Bonner; three nieces, Jody Nodge, Sherry Cornelius and Susan (Aaron) Somerville; a great-niece, Trista Somerville; and a great-nephew, Tom Somerville.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia; and a brother.
BONNER — Friends of Charles W. Bonner, who died Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler.
