I have just read "Know the facts in 2024 presidential primary" by Geno Mariotti [letter to the editor, July 23], and I definitely agree with that statement.

During the time leading up to the 2020 presidential election, many voters didn't know the facts because they were purposely kept hidden. The Democratic candidate was allowed to hide in his basement and answer few questions, a situation that has continued throughout his term. Many voters say that, had they known Joe Biden's mental and physical status, they would never have voted for him.

Again in our Senate race in 2022, voters were kept in the dark about John Fetterman's true physical and mental state before the election. I know of people who voted for him simply because "he went to Harvard." Since he was elected because of the ignorance of voters (only because the truth wasn't revealed to them), we ended up with half the representation in the Senate we were entitled to for several months.

While I don't agree with a lot of the things President Donald Trump said and tweeted, at least I knew where we stood as a nation, and I think he accomplished a lot and could have done so much more if he would have been allowed to just be president.

So yes, fellow voters, be informed — but be aware you may not be getting the whole truth.
