Benninger

Sandra Benninger, 76, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

She was born in New Castle, on Dec. 31, 1946, to the late William Starr and Sylvia (Watt) Neely.

Sandra loved doing cross-stitch, flower arranging and crafts. Her best and most avid interest was her horses. Her favorite horse was Doc, who she rode all the time on the trails around the country and Moraine Park. Sandy worked for Bon-Ton and Myers Bus Lines as a monitor. She was loved and will be forever missed.

Sandy leaves behind the love of her life, Lee Benninger Jr., whom she married in 1970. She was the mother of Patty (John) Ray, Peggy (Dan) King and Joe (Kim) Benninger; and sister of Patricia King and Erma Warsing. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard L. Richard.
