Fidanza

Rosato “Louie” Luigi Fidanza, 94, of Grove City, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Allegheny Health Networks of Grove City.

Louie was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Waterbury, Conn., and was a son of the late Agostino and Anna (Cipriani) Fidanza.

On Dec. 10, 2019, Louie married Geraldine (Gerri) Vernon Weaver; she survives.

Louie attended Duggan Elementary School and Leavenworth High School, both of Waterbury, Conn. He worked as a salesman for Al's Seafood and Maine Coast Lobster. From 1981 until 1991 he was a successful businessman and proud owner of Ocean Crest Seafood Company, selling the company when he retired at the age of 62. Shortly after, he relocated to Cochranton, Pa.

In addition to his wife Geraldine, Louie is survived by four children, Lynn Prifty (Ray), Paul Fidanza, Greg Fidanza and Mark Fidanza (Victoria); seven grandchildren, Michael, David, Matthew, Anthony, Michael, Nicholas and Kristina; a great-grandchild, Gage; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his first wife, Concetta Ciccio Fidanza, who died on Aug. 6, 2016, Lou was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann Gagliardi; and his siblings, Emma Magaldi, Irma Fabiani, Margaret Fidanza, Agostino Fidanza, Julio Fidanza and Carmine Fidanza.

FIDANZA — Family and friends of Rosato “Louie” Luigi Fidanza, who died Friday, July 21, 2023, are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Patricia Lavery officiating.
