Concordia to Host 142nd Summer Festival
Concordia will hold its 142nd Summer Festival on Sunday, July 30, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Lund Care Center backyard on the Cabot campus. Admission to the event is free.
The festival will feature a picnic lunch starting at 12:30 p.m., live music from the Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band beginning at 1:30 p.m. and a traditional worship service at 4 p.m. featuring guest preacher the Rev. Dr. Edward Grimenstein, pastor at Concordia member church Zion Lutheran in Bridgeville. A car cruise also will be onsite from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
At the pavilion, there will be children’s activities from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. These activities include a fishing derby from 12:30 to 3 p.m., a caricature artist, crafts and games. Children are entitled to one free drink and one free food item.
An open house will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Haven to tour the retirement living community on the Cabot campus.
