Jacob Szebalskie hit a ball over an outfielder’s head in the bottom of the seventh inning, plating Joey Porneluzi with the winning run as Kelly Chevrolet Butler Pony defeated Saxonburg, 3-2, in the ARL championship game recently.

Saxonburg’s Andrew Roddy tagged up on a fly ball and scored from third to knot the game at two in the top of the inning.

Ryan Collins allowed two hits and one run in six innings for Butler, striking out 12 and walking five. Porneluzi pitched the seventh inning.

Coltyn Povlick, Szebalskie, Nash Cuffman and Sam Vicari had two hits each for Butler. Leo Nagg and Owen Gillis had one hit each for Saxonburg.
