Voelzke

John (Jack) Kenneth Voelzke, 71, of Evans City, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Born April 4, 1952, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John W. and Jean M. (Blount) Voelzke. Jack was a down to earth, honest and hardworking soul who adored his wife. His gentle nature brought calm and peace to all who knew him, especially his family.

Raised Protestant by faith, Jack loved reading, gardening and grounds keeping. All his life, he enjoyed sports (baseball, football and hockey), fishing trips to Erie and nature in every way. Jack also loved spending time with his 5-year-old goldendoodle, Buddy.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Tricia L. (Wright) Voelzke; his siblings, Barb (Ed) Dudek, of Harrisburg, Tom (Sue) Voelzke, of the South Hills, David Voelzke, of Butler and Bob (Sharon) Voelzke, of Yardley, Pa.; his numerous nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Patricia Wright; and his brother-in-law, Michael Wright.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George “Dick” Wright; and his brother-in-law, David Martin Wright.

VOELZKE — No services will be held for John (Jack) Kenneth Voelzke, who died July 3, 2023, per his wishes.
