Georgia A. Miller-Swingle, 67, of Grove City, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Sharon Regional Medical Center in Sharon, after a brief illness.

Georgia was born on April 8, 1956, and raised in Grove City by her parents, George and Grace Childress. Georgia loved to draw, garden, can food, cook, entertain and spend time with family, friends and her granddog Piper. She was an avid sports fan and loved NASCAR racing, the Pittsburgh Steelers and watching her grandson, DeLathian, play several sports for Grove City teams. Georgia worked and retired from Armco in Butler. She attended Grove City schools and Slippery Rock University.

Georgia leaves to mourn her husband, Timothy Swingle, whom she married on June 15, 2018; a daughter, Charmaine Miller; two stepsons, Scott Swingle (Rose) and Eric Swingle (Amy); three grandchildren, DeLathian Boanes, Ayden Miller and Abby Miller; eight stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Janet Bass (Timothy) and Blanche Gates (Otis); and a brother, Jackie Childress. She also leaves sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Georgia was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Grace Childress, and her son, Eugene Miller Jr.

MILLER-SWINGLE — Visitation for Georgia A. Miller-Swingle, who died Thursday, July 6, 2023, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

A celebration of life service will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
