Turkey sighting survey in full swing

The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced it again is seeking input from the public in surveying wild turkeys this summer for its Annual Pennsylvania Wild Turkey Sighting Survey, which opened July 1 and will run through Aug. 31.

Turkey population management is the main driver behind the survey, as the data allows the Game Commission to determine total wild turkey productivity and compare long-term reproductive success within Pennsylvania and across states.

Residents can report turkey sightings and fill out other important information at pgcdatacollection.pa.gov/TurkeyBroodSurvey.

The mobile app is no longer available, according to the Game Commission, and it recommends saving this link to your favorites for quick access to report turkey sightings.
