A Venango County man was left with a head wound after he was shot by one of multiple suspects in a home invasion and robbery that occurred at his home on Mountaineer Drive on Wednesday, July 5, state police said.

According to a state police news release, the incident occurred 2:50 a.m. Wednesday.

The man, Brandon Norrick, 25, was transported to Grove City Hospital and later, to Allegheny General Hospital.

Police said witnesses saw the suspects flee on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
